Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Maths teacher on behalf of a 'Good' graded secondary school in Wigan for a Maternity Cover which begins in January 2019.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join a school with a dedicated and supportive Senior Leadership team. With this in mind teachers of all experience levels are encouraged to apply for this role.

• Full-time Maths Teaching Position

• 'Good' graded Wigan based secondary school

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS standards £23,720 - £39,406

• Complete planning and marking responsibilities included for this role

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status specialising in Maths

• 12 month maternity cover starting in January 2019

This role will include a complete teaching timetable consisting of full marking and planning responsibilities. It is crucial that you are able to stretch the learning of your students whilst being able to teach Maths lessons in an engaging manner.

The Maths department of our partner secondary school has seen rapid improvements in recent years after an identified dip in overall progress made by pupils in Maths in 2014. The school have since implemented a range of strategies including: the appointment of a numeracy coordinator, a Year 11 breakfast Maths club and the appointment of two part-time specialist teachers who's aim is to strengthen the intervention work within the schools Maths department.
