A co-educational secondary school in the central Manchester area is looking for an effective Maths teacher to join them in January for the remainder of the academic year to cover an upcoming maternity leave. This inner city Manchester based secondary school is highly supportive of all staff and is part of a local multi-academy trust (MAT) which is particularly reputable in the Manchester area. The successful Maths teacher should have effective classroom management and an effective presence, able to engage students of all backgrounds and abilities as well as considering themselves a Maths subject specialist.

The successful Mathematician is required on a full time basis starting in January and will be expected to take on all planning and marking responsibilities as well as any additional inter-departmental responsibilities. If you are due to be available from Monday 6th January or perhaps just after this date, then you are encouraged to still apply now as there is the possibility of starting slightly later for the right Maths teacher.

Key aspects of this Maths teaching position:

  • Full time Maths teacher required: Monday 6th January 2020 – July 2020 in the first instance (remainder of the academic year to cover a maternity leave)

  • Teach within a successful and reputable multi academy trust of choice in the Manchester area
  • Full teaching timetable: planning and marking responsibilities expected within this reputable secondary school

This secondary school is situated in the central Manchester area, a short walk away from the local metrolink stop. The school is housed in a new bespoke building with the latest facilities including a fully equipped Maths department with smart boards in each classroom and working space including app based tablets.

Given the school’s inner city location, whilst it is a school of choice for students and parents alike, senior leadership are keen to ensure all teachers are effective within their behaviour management techniques.

If you are a successful teacher of Maths looking for a teaching position starting in January following the Christmas break then apply now with your latest CV. If you are available from some time after this, please apply now for consideration highlighting this on your application.
