A Secondary school in Upminster are looking to appoint a full-time Maths Teacher, who is seeking a long term/permanent opportunity from September 2024. However, the school are open to a Summer Term if preferred, start for the right educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths to students in KS3/4, with focus on providing engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to learn. You will be expected to plan, mark and attend parents evening. 

Responsibilities:

-          Develop and deliver effective Maths lessons to students

-          Create lesson plans, assessments and assignments that align with the curriculum

-          Monitor and track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents

-          Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and student well-being

-          Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related activities

 

Requirements:

-          Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field

-          Hold QTS

-          Experience teaching Maths to students in KS3/4

-          Strong knowledge of Maths curriculum and pedagogy

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-          Ability to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
