This exciting opportunity is ideal for anyone looking for a long term position within a Maths department.

  • Full-time Maths teacher.
  • October start date or earlier if possible.
  • Large secondary school in Salford.
  • Teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale (£25,714 - £41,604).

Due to a staffing restructure in the new academic year, our client secondary school in Bury are currently looking for a Maths teacher, with the view of being offered a permanent position if successful in the first term.

The incoming teacher will be teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE and will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver dynamic Maths lessons to meet the needs of learners at varying levels of learning ability. It will also be important to set appropriate homework and classwork tasks and to mark these in line with the schools guidelines. The successful candidate will also be required to monitor and assess pupils’ progress and report this back to discuss with other members of the Maths department.

To be considered for this position, you must have QTS and experience teaching Maths to GCSE Level. Both experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers are urged to apply for this position as soon as possible.

Our client school is located in Salford and can be accessed via the M62 and A580 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For candidates who do not drive, the school can also be easily accessed via public transport from neighbouring areas such as Bolton, Worsley and Swinton.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
