Are you confident in Mathematics and passionate about supporting young people in their learning? We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated Cover Supervisor with a specialism in Maths to join a welcoming secondary school in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced cover staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive and well-structured environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of teaching staff, with a focus on Mathematics

• Ensure a positive and productive classroom environment

• Support students in understanding tasks and maintaining engagement

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and lesson outcomes

While the role is not a teaching position, a strong understanding of Maths is essential to confidently support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A strong academic background in Mathematics (degree or A-Level minimum preferred)

• Experience working with young people (school-based or similar setting)

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Confidence in leading a classroom independently

• A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach
