Qualified English Teacher – Secondary Schools
Location: Northampton
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: January 2026

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with secondary schools across Northampton to recruit a Qualified English Teacher for a full-time role starting January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive department and make a real impact on students’ learning and progress.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

  • Teach a range of topics including Literature, Language, and creative writing

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

  • Work collaboratively within the English department and wider school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
