Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary School in Bournemouth, catering for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education.

We are seeking experienced support staff to provide off-site tuition for pupils in KS3 and KS4. You will be providing 1-1 support for young people who have been excluded from mainstream school. The young people can be challenging and are very often stubborn towards having any education. You may have to pick pupils up from their home and take them to a library if a parent or carer is not going to be present for a session.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • have experience working with children
  • be confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
  • have strong behaviour management
  • have access to a care and have business insurance
  • have an enhanced child workforce DBS registered with the update service (we can assist you in this)

We have both full time, part time and ad hoc hours available.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
