ASD Support Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a reputable Primary School in Fulwood for a specialist support assistant with experience of working with individuals with Autism.

You will be appointed on a full-time, temporary basis. The position is to support a child in the Reception class on a one-to-one basis, starting from Monday 9th March 2020 until the end of the academic year.

The school are looking for a support assistant with recent, successful experience of supporting individuals with Autism; recent experience of using the PECS resource is also essential. The child also speaks English as an additional language. Accordingly, the ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to tailor learning to meet the needs of children with minimal English.   

Pupils with SEN in school are well supported and make good progress. Leaders have invested heavily in the Early Years to improve resources and speech and language support. As a result, children in EYFS get off to a good start.  

The school plan to interview short-listed candidates the week commencing 2nd March 2020.
