Learning support assistant – Edmonton

GBP65 - GBP75 daily – PAYE – No hidden fees

Immediate start

Term time only – Full time

We are currently seeking a competent learning support assistant to assist a autistic KS3 pupil who is currently attending a special needs school in Edmonton.  This will be for an immediate start working in an ‘Outstanding ‘school who are in need of a teaching assistant for a 1:1 role supporting a KS3 student with Autism and associated challenging behaviours.  

The pupil is based in a class of pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs but he will be spending a lot of time out of class doing individual work. We are looking for a teaching assistant who is confident in this role to support an autistic child on a 1:1 basis and assist a pupil who presents with challenging behaviours. The successful teaching assistant will have an energetic personality, previous experience supporting autistic leaners and have good behaviour management skills! 

The school is part of a large multi site of SEN schools with a primary, secondary and higher education sites all in close proximity of the main school in Edmonton. There will be opportunities for career progression and the opportunity to work across different sites as well as having  access to onsite training once a permanent contract is secured.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
