Learning Mentor - South Manchester

A secondary school located in central South Manchester is seeking a Learning mentor to join their support team after May half term. The Learning Mentor will be working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis in order to raise attainment and improve behaviour.

The successful Learning mentor will be able to work with pupils in a pastoral role, helping to integrate them into school life, as well as connecting with them on a personal level. Many of the pupils you will be working with will be being integrated back into mainstream secondary school, as well as facing challenging situations outside school. The successful learning mentor will be able to speak to pupils about a range of problems, offering them support both personally and academically.

Main Points:

  • Learning mentor role available
  • Full time, on going position starting after May half term
  • Work Good Ofsted graded school
  • Pay rate £275 - £325 per week, depending on previous experience

The secondary school is located in central South Manchester and Ofsted graded 'Good'. The school has a strong emphasis on pupil care and development, helping every pupil strive for success and reach their full potential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
