Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant in the Poole area to work within an SEN School.

The school is a primary setting catering for pupils with behaviour needs, including ADHD, SEMH (Social, emotional and mental health) and Autism. The school has very small class sizes, of around 6-8 pupils, and has a high number of Support staff.

This is a full time role as a class based Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils in a KS2 class. This would be to start in October 2018.

To be successful in this role you should:

  • have experience working within the primary age range. Experience in a school setting is desirable but not a requirement
  • have strong behaviour management and be confident supporting behaviour
  • be resilient
  • have a good sense of humour
  • be Team Teach trained (desirable), Teaching Personnel can provide this training if you don't already have this

The school has on-site parking, an extremely supportive SLT and on-going in school training.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
