KS2/3 Teacher Required in Liverpool Behavioural School

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Outstanding primary - KS3 school in South Liverpool which caters for boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Almost all have statements of special educational needs with a few being formally assessed. Many have additional needs including ADHD and around a quarter have learning difficulties, including ASC.

This school are currently looking for KS2/3 teachers to start ASAP for long term positions. There are a maximum of 10 pupils in each class, with at least 1 Learning Support Assistant. Pupils also access a range of intervention programmes. High expectations for learning and behaviour run through the the school. Learning is paramount at this school and behaviour does not get in its way.

Duties would include:

  • provide a nurturing classroom and school environment that helps pupils to develop as learners.
  • maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the curriculum.
  • facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • mark and assess pupils work giving written/verbal and diagnostic feedback as required in line with school policies.
  • assess, record and report on the progress, development and attainment of pupils and to keep such records as are required.
  • when necessary, to physically intervene, following training and as part of a team, in line with the schools behaviour policy.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
