A Primary school in the Chesterfield area is working closely with Teaching Personnel to help search for a Teaching Assistant (TA) with Key Stage 1 (KS1) experience. The 1 form entry Primary is looking for a general TA to work in their year 1 class. The role is to begin ASAP and is for the rest of the academic year.
The school has recently received a resignation from their current TA in year 1 so is looking for someone to come in and hit the ground running for the rest of the academic year and for the next academic year also. This school is a very homely school with most of the teachers having been in the school for 10+ so there is a lot of stability within the school as well as having a Head Teacher with over 15 years experience.
The school is working at a "GOOD" standard from their latest OFSTED report and has maintained this standard for a number of years. There is excellent behaviour throughout the school in both Key stages so anyone who fills the role will be welcomed by both staff and pupils.
The role will involve offering general support for the year 1 class across all activities and may involve some small group work with around 4/5 pupils at a time for all different subjects such as Maths, English and Writing.
