SEMH Teacher

If so, our Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) tutor role might be the perfect fit for you.
In this SEMH tutor role, you will:
- Work closely with children who have special educational needs, offering face-to-face support to those with SEMH.
- Customise resources to suit the child's needs, potentially focusing on developing their Maths and English skills through play or personalised learning approaches.
- Utilise your skills and experience to keep the child engaged with tasks and ensure effective learning access.
- Implement a variety of behavior management strategies to support the child's progress.
All pupils for this role will be based in the Nottinghamshire area, which offers extensive transport links by road, bus, and train.
What we're seeking in an SEMH tutor:
- Experience in SEN (as a teaching assistant, in one-to-one settings, or similar roles).
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Skills in accelerating pupils' educational progress.
- Capability to monitor pupils' progress towards desired learning outcomes and provide feedback.
- Desirable: Experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviour
Successful applicants must provide evidence of their skills and experience. All candidates will undergo background checks and require a current DBS certificate (update service registered).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
