KS1 Class Teacher Required in the Harwood area

Job description

Are you experienced teaching across KS1? Do you hold a strong knowledge of phonics? Are you able to demonstrate 'Good' teaching practice and have examples of where you have been able to raise the attainment of pupils that you have worked with?

If so, a larger than average primary school, located in the Harwood area of Bolton, is currently looking to appoint a KS1 Class teacher to work with a mixed year 1/ 2 class. The school has previously been graded as Good by Ofsted and has been described as a 'happy, popular and successful school where pupils flourish'. This role is suitable for NQTs and experienced teachers and can be easily accessed via Bury, Chorley, Bolton and Salford. The position would be to start September 2019 for the rest of the academic year, with the potential to go permanent for the right person.

In order to be successful for this role you will need to:

  • Have a strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Have a strong phonic knowledge.
  • Be able to demonstrate good practice, ensuring that all pupils are able to make progress.
  • Be adaptable and able to meet the needs of all children in order to create an inclusive environment, in order to enable all pupils to succeed.
  • Be a good communicator and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Be able to implement effective behaviour management techniques and have a strong classroom presence.
  • Be able to uphold the school ethos.
