Intervention teacher - North Manchester

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an Intervention teacher for their client school based in North Manchester from February 2019. This role has been manufactured due to extra funding that has been made available within the school, and will last until at least the end of the academic year.

  • Full time or Part time positions available from February 2019
  • Potential to continue into the 2019/2020 academic year
  • Earn between £10 and £25 per hour (dependent on experience)
  • Few minutes drive from M60 motorway

Our client school is situated near the Whitefield area of North Manchester, and with fewer than 900 students, is a smaller than average mixed secondary community school. Situated just a short drive from the M60 motorway, it is easily accessible from a range of areas across Greater Manchester and also has excellent public transport links.

There are many reasons why a student may need intervention whilst in school including underachievement, organisational issues, emotional or behavioural difficulties and social skills difficulties. Possible intervention ranges from 1:1 tuition to in class support.

"The school require an intervention teach to work with pupils who have literacy difficulties, have numeracy difficulties and support pupils with communication difficulties and behavioural difficulties. They will work either in class or they withdraw pupils in to the intervention room for individual or small group work. Pupils who have difficulties as a result of having English as an additional language will also be supported as required." Headteacher.
