About the Role
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers to deliver dynamic, engaging, and personalised lessons that meet the diverse needs of our pupils. Your contribution will help foster greater achievement, independence, and confidence in children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism and associated learning differences.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HLTA who is passionate about inclusive education and eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our pupils.
In this role, you will:
- Support teaching and learning in both one-to-one and small group settings
- Deliver lessons when required, aligned with lesson plans and individual pupil needs
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and positive interaction
- Contribute to a culture of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing across the school
- Take a proactive, flexible approach to classroom support and behaviour management
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds HLTA status
- Has experience working in a SEN and/or ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) setting
- Remains calm, confident, and resilient in challenging situations
- Can work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary education team
- Is confident in leading lessons or facilitating small group sessions
- Is committed to empowering every pupil to achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
