Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school at the heart of the OL16 community that are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their enthusiastic team in the Autumm Term so cover scheduled staff absences.

About you:

• Holds HLTA status or an equivalent qualification/experience.

• Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.

• Can plan, deliver and assess learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.

• Is confident in leading whole-class learning in the absence of the teacher.

• Builds positive relationships with children and supports their academic and emotional development.

• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues, pupils and parents.

Key responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and interventions.

• Lead planned learning activities for individuals, groups, and whole classes.

• Provide feedback and contribute to pupil assessments.

• Support the development of educational resources.

• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
