Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with 'Good'/ 'Outstanding' primary schools in the Sheffield area. We are seeking experienced and passionate HLTA's to provide in school support. Teaching Personnel are committed to developing long-term relationships with HLTA's and Sheffield Primary Schools.

You will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to deliver pre-planned lessons to meet the schools high expectations of learning. Other responsibilities may include supporting 1:1 and in small groups to deliver inspiring interventions.

Teaching Personnel are seeking:

  • A HLTA with prior experience
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for the education sector and ability to show a consistent level of teaching support to facilitate classroom success.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
