HLTA with Special Needs experience (SEN provision)

A new vacancy has opened for a HLTA in a Special Educational Needs provision in Bolton.

Children in this provision come from a wide range of backgrounds but all have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and complex needs. As HLTA you would be responsible for supporting teachers in the classroom, managing classroom resources and working with children 1:1 or delivering sessions with small groups of students. Due to the student’s complex need, they are working to a lower academic level than in mainstream education. Lessons are diverse and activity based meaning no two days will be the same.

Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is highly desirable.

You must demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of individuals with SEN and will need to have suitable references and a DBS certificate (or be eligible to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
