Learning Support Assistant SEN

Teaching Personnel are seeking a enthusiastic and compassionate Autism/Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant. The setting is a specialist SEN provision where every student's journey is celebrated, and their potential is nurtured with passion and purpose. Nestled in the heart of Bolton, the provision is a vibrant community dedicated to fostering a love for learning, personal growth, and global citizenship. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups providing interventions and classroom support under the guidance of teachers and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other staff members to create inclusive learning environments where diversity is celebrated and every voice is heard.
  • Empower students with special educational needs, including those with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and learning difficulties, to overcome challenges and achieve success.
  • Inspire social, moral, spiritual, and cultural development through engaging activities, thought-provoking discussions, and meaningful experiences that foster empathy, understanding, and respect.
  • Cultivate a culture of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, encouraging students to explore their passions, embrace challenges, and pursue their dreams with confidence and courage.

Requirements:

  • A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or mentoring capacity preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset, with a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities for personal and professional development.

Full time role Monday-Friday 8:30 - 3:30

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
