Our vibrant and inclusive primary SEN school in Farnworth, Bolton, is currently seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our wonderful students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement to reach their full potential.
  2. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student requirements.
  3. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
  4. Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support and ensure each student's unique needs are met.
  5. Implement and adapt strategies to support students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential – we welcome applications from individuals with a passion for making a difference!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the diverse needs of every child in our school community.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
