• Immediate start, working full-time on a long term basis (30 hours per week)

The Head Teacher of an Ofsted-graded ‘GOOD’ primary school located in CHORLEY is seeking a university graduate to work alongside their Year 2 Class Teacher to work alongside small groups of lower and higher attaining pupils on the run up to KS1 assessments and also provide general class support. The role is to start as soon as possible; the working day will be 08:45 until 15:15. The vacancy has arisen due to a recent resignation; therefore, although the role is initially temporary, it is possible that the school will offer a school contract to the right person. This role is 30 hours per week with a competative rate of pay of GBP9.50-GBP10.50 per hour. 

If you are qualified with a degree in psychology or in education with a SEN specialism, then this could be the ideal role for you! You would work closely alongside the Class Teacher to provide specialist support with English and Maths and also provide support to small groups of pupils. The school ethos promoted encouragement and a nurturing environment. Previous experience of working within school is desirable; however, if you have worked with primary age children in a similar capacity, we welcome your application.

Situated on the outskirts of Chorley town centre, this primary school is one-form entry with the majority of pupils arriving from White British backgrounds. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs is in line with the national average, as is the proportion of disadvantaged pupils.
