  • Graduate (ideally 2:1 or above)
  • Desirably have previous experience working with children
  • Good education background (GCSE's in Maths and English)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Maths graduate Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor to work in our partner secondary school in the High Wycombe area of Buckinghamshire. This role will be to specifically focus on raising attainment in Maths prior to the GCSE examinations. This is a unique opening for a Maths graduate to support directly within a Maths department at a high performing secondary school:

  • Maths graduate Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor
  • Working under the Head of Maths to deliver pre-set work
  • Tutoring pupils with their GCSE exam preparation
  • Supporting 1-to-1 in Maths lessons and to carry out small group sessions

As a result of the mock examinations highlighting a small number of pupils who require additional support to raise their progress in Maths, the Assistant Head teacher of our partner school wishes to source the support of a Maths graduate Teaching Assistant.

This role provides a Maths graduate with a fantastic opportunity to utilise their subject knowledge and make a difference in pupil's lives. It will also provide invaluable experience prior to any Maths graduates thinking of completing their teacher training in the future.

The incoming Maths graduate will ideally have previous experience of working with 11-16 year olds in an educational capacity. Further being able to deliver resources confidently and to build effective working relationships with pupils is essential.
