Have you recently graduated or are currently completing your studies? Are you currently considering a role in teaching but would like to gain school-based experience beforehand?

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Graduate Future Teachers to work in a variety of secondary schools across Greater Manchester, primarily providing academic and pastoral support to young people across years 7-11. If you’re looking to commence a teacher training programme in September 2021 or 2022 and have recently graduated but would like to gain some valuable in-school experience then this is the programme for you.

Teaching Personnel began the Graduate Future Teachers programme four years ago initially partnering with two secondary schools. Now working with over seven secondary schools across Greater Manchester, a number that’s increasing, this is a great opportunity for graduates to gain some full time work experience, generally working five days a week 8:30am-3:30pm.

During your time as a Graduate Future Teacher you’ll work with and work to support young people in a variety of subjects including English, Science, Maths, Humanities and more. Your goal will be to support students in achieving or excelling past their predicted academic results, maintaining and improving student attainment and supporting students who struggle with a spectrum of Special Educational Needs (SEN) requirements such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, ADHD and Social and Emotional Mental Health requirements (SEMH). A student struggling with any of these conditions is more at risk of falling behind their peers and it will be Future Teachers responsibility to support these vulnerable young people.

-          Weekly pay of up to GBP350/ week

-          Access to a variety of CPD courses provided through Teaching Personnel’s training academy

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for this role:

-          Educated to degree level

-          Positive, flexible attitude

-          Strong passion and desire to get into teaching

-          Natural ability to build rapport with young people

-          In date fully enhanced DBS certificate or eligibility to apply for one

-          Suitable employment and educational references must be provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
