Geography Teacher- required in Greenwich

Are you a passionate Geography Teacher able to teach across the ability range at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5?

One of our client schools based in South East London is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join the department in April at the start of the summer term.

At this 11-19 mixed comprehensive you will have a split timetable between Key Stage 3 and 4 and 5. You will join a supportive team of teachers who have considerably improved results over the last two years. We are seeking a motivated and innovative Geography Teacher who has the ability to complement this progress.

The successful Geography Teacher will have excellent subject knowledge being thoroughly familiar will the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Previous experience teaching at A Level is a beneficial to the role but not essential. Many of the students at the school are highly academic and we are looking for a Geography Teacher who can stretch their ability. Please be aware that applicants should have a good Geography related degree from a recognised University.

The school has recently been judged by Ofsted to be good with outstanding features. The successful Geography Teacher will benefit from a well-established and supportive Senior Leadership Team who will be keen to assist in your development as a teacher.

Both applications from a Newly Qualified Teacher and an experienced Geography Teacher are welcome. Most importantly you should be a confident and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with the initiative to facilitate the progression of this flourishing department.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
