Upcoming maternity cover from part way through October/half term for the remainder of the academic year. This is a full time requirement at this ‘good’ rated secondary school with a fantastic reputation in the Trafford and Greater Manchester area.
This mixed secondary school which is located in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester is looking to take on a Geography teacher for the duration of the maternity leave. There is the possibility to take on the successful Geography teacher for the remainder of the academic year if this suits the applicant accordingly. This is a full time Geography teaching position following the AQA syllabus primarily focussed on teaching GCSE level (year 7 – 10) with some year 11 classes dependent upon experience. The school are happily taking applications from teachers of any experience level so please apply if you are interested whether you are experienced or a newly qualified teacher.
The Deputy Headteacher is ideally looking for a successful Geography teacher who considers themselves a specialist within the subject. Any Humanities teacher who is looking for a long term teaching position at a fantastic school is encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
Highlights of this Geography teaching position:
- Full time maternity cover required: Geography teacher for 1 year
- Start mid October or post October half term when the Geographer is due to leave (potential to start sooner for a handover period)
- Pay will be dependent upon experience and in line with payscale : GBP25714 - GBP41604 per annum
- Applications are encouraged from teachers of all experience levels
- ‘Good’ rated secondary school in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester
The school is located in the Trafford area close to the M60 ring road and M56 motorway which services the area well. There is a very local (within 10 minute walk) metrolink stop close to the school which travels from the city centre of Manchester making the school very accessible for those Geography teachers on public transport. Therefore, if you are travelling from Manchester, Chorlton, Stretford, Tameside or even Oldham you should find the school simple to get to. The school is considered a large secondary school which boasts fantastic facilities and has over 1400 students on roll.
The school prides itself on having students who are engaged with school life and are keen to learn. They are therefore looking for a Geography teacher who is able to teach highly engaging lessons which are rich with content, stretching and challenging students in all areas.
