Cover supervisors required to work in Hexham and Newcastle Catholic Diocese

Teaching Personnel are currently working in collaboration with the Hexham and Newcastle Catholic Diocese. We are now the preferred supplier for the Diocese and working with them to provide schools with high quality staff for all areas such as Teachers, Support Staff and Specialist intervention teachers. Due to this partnership we are currently recruiting cover supervisors to work in an OFSTED graded outstanding school in the Newcastle area. The school is located in central Newcastle and has great transport links via the Tyne & Wear Metro System.

The role will involve supervising a class of Secondary students ensuring the work the School has planned and provided is carried out and the class remains in a calm state. The role will also require supporting students by working one to one or in small groups to deliver high impact intervention. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about working with children. The role would be suitable for a graduate who is considering a career in teaching or the education sector.

As a result of the partnership Teaching Personnel will offer you opportunities to participate with our bespoke CPD (Continuous Professional Development) courses. The courses are run in partnership with St Cuthbert’s RC High school. Courses include Data Handling, Differentiation, Teaching Strategies & Behaviour Management.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
