Future Teachers Programme - Seeking recent graduates!
Are you a recent graduate? Are you thinking about becoming a teacher? Are you worried you don’t know enough about what you’re getting yourself in to?
Teaching Personnel’s Future Teacher Programme is designed with you in mind!
One of Teaching Personnel’s partner primary schools in West London is now recruiting for up to six graduates to join them from March 2021. The school has a strong partnership with a Teacher Training scheme and the school is full of Teachers at all stages of their career journey for you to learn from.
The school was graded Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ at its most recent inspection and is now waiting on the results of its most recent inspection just last week. The school is located a short walk from Goldhawk Road Station (Circle, Hammersmith and City Line) and Wood Lane Station (Circle, Hammersmith and City Line).
So, what does the scheme involve?
You will join as a general teaching assistant with the responsibility of supporting all pupils within the class. As you develop confidence, the school will give you additional responsibility including leading intervention groups on key curriculum concepts. You will have a teacher mentor to support you every step of the way.
The role will also involve providing support to pupils needing additional support due to learning difficulties. For this school in particular, the needs requiring low level support that you may be able to provide include global development delay or Autism.
Over the course of the year, you can:
- Help raise attainment through one-to-one and small group interventions
- Support students with Special Educational Needs
- Offer ‘In Class’ Subject specialist support
- Assist with planning and preparation
- Deliver cover supervision
Each Future Teachers placement runs full-time for a full year and helps you gain a broad experience of life in school. You will receive ongoing support from Teaching Personnel through access to professional development courses and lesson resources.
Key criteria to be considered:
- Enthusiastic aspiring teacher keen to get involved across the school and build up as much experience as possible
- Solid academic background (1st or 2:1 Graduate ideally)
- Reliable and committed
- Passionate about education
We reserve the right to close the vacancy early so recommend that you submit your application at your earliest convenience.
