About the role:
Teaching personnel are currently looking for enthusiastic, hands on, proactive people; to fill a vacancy in a Plymouth based SEN school.
The role will need people who are caring and patient, but also full of energy to deliver exciting activities and support during lessons and leisure time.
The school offers an individual focus on learning, aiming to adapt to different students individual needs, to fulfil their learning and development. As a mentor/teaching assistant you will be responsible for the daily planning and support of learning, working closely with teachers.
You will work from 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Term time only.
Successful Candidates:
- Will have great, relevant experience in education and working with children.
- Ideally an NVQ level 3 or higher in a relevant topic
- Access to a car is preferable
- Calm and patient manner
- A drive to learn new skills and engage with staff, students and the job

Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
