EYFS Teaching Assistant - Stockton

April 2019 until the end of the academic year

We currently have a vacancy for an EYFS Teaching Assistant for a longer term role within a wonderful Primary School, located in Stockton, which boasts an excellent local reputation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close knit and successful team that provide the highest standards of education and recently achieved an 'Outstanding' grade from Ofsted. The successful candidate, whilst working under the supervision of a qualified teacher, must be able to work independently and be capable of working with small groups of children in order to support their learning and development. The position is based within a class of 36 enthusiastic pupils who are making great progress due to the motivational method of teaching.

Essentials:

  • Valid DBS (A Child Workforce that is accessible through the Update Service)
  • Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)

Details of role:

  • Supporting the Class Teacher to educate 36 pupils which includes working 1-1 with 3 SEN pupils
  • Full time role commencing 8th of April 2019
  • Will be required to complete administrative duties, such as preparing classroom resources and assist in the preparation of lesson plans.
  • Provide support to children who need additional help with their work
  • Recent experience within an EYFS classroom is desirable but not essential
