English Teacher with SEN: Reading

Job description

An SEN school in Reading are looking for an English teacher to come in and support on a long-term cover basis.

The school caters to students with ADHD, Autism and SEMH. Behaviour can be challenging but staff in the school are strongly supported by SLT. The suitable candidate should be available up until the end of the academic year.

This role could be ideal for a candidate looking for an interim role to build up experience working in an SEN setting. Good behaviour management is important to the school, as well as good knowledge and understanding of the English KS3-4 curriculum.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Relevant English KS3 and KS4 teaching experience
  • High expectations for all students and a willingness to help them succeed
  • SEN Experience
