Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a partner school in Bishop Auckland. The secondary school is looking to recruit a fantastic English teacher who will enrich the learning and development of their KS3 & KS4 students. It is essential that the English teacher can create engaging and innovative lesson plans, demonstrate effective teaching practise and have strong behaviour/classroom management. We welcome candidates from experienced backgrounds but also welcome NQTS. For NQTs, this would be an amazing opportunity as you will receive the support and mentoring you need which will help you through your NQT year in becoming an Outstanding English Teacher/NQT.

**Temporary 6 month position with the outlook to becoming permanent**

**Available to start in January**

**Daily rates between £120-£160**

**Delivering the English curriculum to Key Stage 3/4**

Overview

  • Ensure lesson plans are produced to meet established school and national curriculum models
  • Provide a safe, secure and positive environment for students
  • Adapt the national curriculum to fit student needs whilst maintaining overall class progress
  • Preparation of classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, handouts and setting assessments to challenge students.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
