English Teacher in Manchester Secondary School

Teaching Personnel has been tasked by one of the partnered secondary schools based in South Manchester to appoint a Full Time English teacher from November until the end of the academic year for Maternity cover. The school is willing to take on a Newly Qualified teacher or an experienced teacher in either English Language or Literature.

As this is a full time post there will be an expectancy to plan and organise your own work especially in the two later terms, but you will be provided support from October to December from the very supportive English department. The opportunity to become a permanent member of staff can become available after the initial contract period.

The School is located in the M23 postcode of Manchester with close travel links with trams and buses as well as being situated near the M56 and M60 motorway. This All Mixed 11-18 comprehensive school has a range of students with Pupil premium EAL and SEN. The Ofsted have graded the school from a 4 to a 2 GOOD school. As an English position, it is essential to have English teaching experience within a UK school and have a QTS qualification. Suitable teaching references are also required to progress to the next stage as well as being eligible for fully enhanced DBS.
