Are you a recent graduate in English or an English related subject, or are you graduating in the summer of 2019?

A school in Blackburn are currently recruiting English graduates aspiring to undertake Initial Teacher Training for their Graduate Teaching Assistant programme. This is an initiative designed to pave your way into a career in education.

The school is a successful training provider and runs a highly successful SCITT programme in collaboration with a number of other local schools. There is an excellent staff atmosphere, centred on staff well-being and development. They are looking to appoint graduates to start in September 2019, however for candidates available immediately an earlier start could be considered.

Responsibilities include:

  • Intervention work (within Maths department)
  • General Classroom support
  • Cover Supervision

Successful candidates will benefit from:

  • 6-12 months paid experience in a mainstream secondary
  • Variety of work experience
  • Direct route into a highly successful Initial Teacher Training provision
  • Highly supportive school environment
