One of our beautiful Primary schools located in the heart of Cardiff are actively looking to appoint an additional staff member their growing Nursery team.

The role :

You will be working on a general level providing support to the Teachers and Early Years Educators within different areas of the Nursery and potentially Reception (children from 1 to 5 year olds). A good knowledge of the Foundation Phase is essential as well as a friendly, driven, patient and compassionate personality. The school is willing to provide the adequate support and training for the right candidate, and are therefore open to considering applications from candidates with minimal experience but who are willing to build a career in education.

This is a long-term position, 5 days per week (8:30am to 4:30pm with a morning, lunch and afternoon break) term time only. The ideal candidate must have previous school based and/or tutoring/nannying related experience. Any certificates, diplomas or other qualifications related to a Education and/or Special Educational Needs are desirable (but not compulsory).

Applicants must :

- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
- Provide two professional or character references
- Be available to interview and/or trial asap
- Be available to start on short notice
- Be living in Cardiff and/or have plans to move to Cardiff in the near future and/or be willing to travel to Cardiff

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
