Design and Technology Teacher

Teaching Personnel are recruiting an Design and Technology Teacher in a 'Good' secondary school that we are in partnership with. Their mission is to provide all students with a high quality education that encourages them to be articulate, resilient, courageous, curious and have the confidence to stand up for what they believe in.

The successful Design and Technology Teacher will be required to teach students aged 11-16, with a range of academic ability's. Ideally you will have a track record as a Design and Technology Teacher who delivers results and accelerates pupil progress. Having an engaging teaching style and a confident classroom presence would be the best fit for this school.

  • Design and Technology Teacher
  • Located in Derby
  • Starting September in the new academic year
  • Teachers pay scale MPS-UPS, pad on a weekly basis
  • Teaching academic students and stretching their targets
  • Continuous training end development courses
  • Opportunities for career progression

With the new academic year approaching, our client is looking to fill an open vacancy in their Design and Technology department. With the school constantly improving their exam and assessment results, they are looking to recruit an experienced Design and Technology Teacher to help the department maintain and improve their high standards.

The school wish to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher who:

  • Evaluate student progress and provide ongoing guidance for improvement to both students and their parents
  • Encourage students to exceed their target grades
  • Write progress reports for students
  • Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS or an overseas equivalent
  • Have the ability to plan, teach and mark up to KS4
  • Have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (Child workforce only)

Our client's secondary school is located in Derby, just off the A38, which makes it easy for teachers who drive to access the school. With a recent refurbishment within the department, they have created a great environment for teachers to inspire students to succeed.
