Data & Cover Manager

A 'Good' secondary school in Preston are seeking to appoint a Data & Cover Manager from May half term on a full-time basis. This is a long term opportunity and has the potential to be made into a permanent post for the successful candidate.

The role is 37 hours per week over 5 days (term time only +5 days).

Core Expectations:

• To be accountable for the management of the school's Management Information System and all school data, assessment and reporting. The duties will be defined by the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team but a degree of independence will be required.
• To organise cover for teaching and learning support staff and to manage the daily cover rota and ensure equitable use of staff in terms of frequency.
• To provide general clerical administrative support, including word processing, filing routine correspondence, distributing mail, basic reprographics as and when required.
• To be aware of the confidential nature of pastoral duties related to home, pupil, teacher and School.
• To attend staff training as appropriate.

Core Duties:

• Manage pupil transfer data (inc. assessment data) in collaboration with the governing body, Local Authority and other schools.
• Ensuring pupil data is correct and up to date
• Manage all elements assessment and tracking in Assessment Manager and SISRA.
• Manage the tracking of student behaviour through SIMS and PARS.
• Upload half termly data enquires into SISRA Analytics for analysis.
• Develop and manage the reporting system in Assessment Manager.
• Upload examination results data to SISRA Analytics on GCSE results day annually.
• Assist with target setting at KS3 and KS4.
• Manage the daily cover rota.

To be suitable for this role, you MUST have

• Experience of using a school data management systems (e.g. SIMS)
• Experience of data collection and analysis
• Experience of data base management
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexible working attitude
