Job description

Teaching Personnel work with a Darwen based behavioural unit who are seeking a Teaching Assistant specifically to work in their nurture room.

The School is smaller than average, currently catering for approx. 45 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Anxiety and some challenging behaviours. The role is to work specifically in the nurture room with the current nurture lead Teacher, with a view to opening up your own Nurture room in Sep. 2019 as the Nurture Lead.

The role will require you to work alongside the current Nurture lead, build relationships with the pupils who often have mental health difficulties, work with pupils who are struggling academically and emotionally.

The candidate must have experience working with pupils who have mental health difficulties and have SEN experience.

The candidate must be empathetic, experienced, hard working and passionate about enriching the lives of pupils who are often harder to reach.

Pay for this role will be between £9 - 11 per hour and it is a long term role, starting full time, after the half term.
