Full time Cover Supervisor position within a large school in Oldham

Do you have experience in a secondary school as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant and are looking for a new challenge?

Maybe you are seeking your first steps into an exciting career in education and would like to gain further experience in a secondary school setting before enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large modern secondary school in Oldham that require a full time Cover Supervisor to join the team at the earliest convenience to cover lessons when planned and unplanned absences arise. This position would be until at least the end of the academic year with the opportunity of a permanent contract in September. The school have expressed an interest in interviewing potential candidates at the earliest convenience so anybody who is interested is advised to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to cover the absence of the regular class teacher as you deliver a pre set lesson plan and support the pupils with any additional support they may require, whether these are learning, behaviour, SEN or SEMH related. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring teachers who would like to gain further experience within a secondary school setting as a Cover Supervisor and get a real feel of how it would be to step in the shoes of the class teacher for the day.
