Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher

Do you have excellent communication and organizational skills?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to be an unqualified teacher at a client secondary school in Old Trafford. This role will start in September, and run full-time until the end of the academic year (July 2026).

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of KS3 students. You will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

The successful candidate can expect to earn up to £110 per day (depending on experience). This position also offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth within the education sector. You will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills as a Cover Supervisor.

Your main duties will include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining discipline according to school policies.
  • Providing support to students with their learning, answering questions, and offering guidance when needed.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as taking attendance and reporting any issues to the appropriate staff members.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure continuity of learning and effective classroom management.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A passion for education and working with young people.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
