Cover Supervisor – Manchester – Full-Time – September 2025

Looking to gain classroom experience in a supportive secondary school setting?

We are working with a large and inclusive secondary school in central Manchester that is looking to appoint a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor from September.

This is an ideal role for recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with previous classroom or youth work experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task with their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects

  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment

  • Reporting back to teaching staff and senior leaders

  • Supporting pupils with queries about tasks

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work)

  • Good communication and organisation skills

  • The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively

  • A proactive and flexible attitude

What We Offer:

  • £90 - £115 per day (depending on experience)

  • Full-time work during term time

  • Free training courses including behaviour management and safeguarding

  • Excellent stepping stone into teacher training routes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
