Full-Time Cover Supervisor – Secondary School in Tameside (September Start)

Location: Tameside
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)

A well-regarded secondary school in Tameside is seeking a full-time Cover Supervisor to join the team from September. This role involves delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of teaching staff, maintaining behaviour standards, and supporting the school with general cover needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a variety of lessons across the curriculum

  • Ensuring a calm and productive classroom environment

  • Managing behaviour in line with school policy

  • Liaising with teaching staff to provide feedback after lessons

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience working with secondary-age pupils

  • Be confident managing a classroom and leading learning

  • Be organised, adaptable, and professional

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
