Are you an aspiring teacher looking for work in a secondary school prior to an application for teacher training?

You could benefit from working as a cover supervisor, gaining the necessary experience and developing your skill set prior to beginning your PGCE in September 2019.

On behalf of our client school in RCT, Teaching Personnel look to recruit a number of graduate or experienced cover supervisors to service the high demands for emergency and pre-booked cover. The school is a large secondary school in the heart of RCT . With approx. 1200 pupils on roll, the school definitely lends itself to a community feel which is unusual for such a large school.

With supportive senior leaders and a firm behaviour management policy, all the provisions to lead classes effectively are in place and aspiring teachers would gain an insight into a career in education.

Requirements to work as a cover supervisor;

*Educated to degree level is highly desirable but not essential

*Candidates must hold GCSE's in English in Maths

*Candidates must be able to confidently lead pre-planned lessons

* An ability to instantly build relationships with pupils and ensure engagement in lessons

* A flexible approach to working in a cross-curricular setting

* The presence to command a room while managing challenging behaviour

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
