A secondary school in the Trafford area of south Manchester is looking to recruit a Computer Science teacher for an open teaching vacancy starting with them on Monday 6th January. The successful Computer Science teacher is required on a full time basis to fulfil an open vacancy at this very highly regarded secondary school. As a result, the school have already stated they are interested in exercising a temporary to permanent solution where the successful Computer Science teacher could be their permanent appointment after an approximate term on supply.
The successful Computer Science teacher will be teaching KS3 and KS4 Computing and must have experience of teaching at the higher GCSE level including modules in coding, Java and Python.
Highlights of this Computer Science teaching position:
- Full time Computer Science teacher required, starting on Monday 6th January 2020
- Pay will be dependent upon payscale but range between: GBP24,373 and GBP40,490 (MPS1 – UPS3)
- Teach within a highly supportive Computing department, gaining the opportunity to network and work alongside a committed team of professionals
- Relatively small department with 2 full time teaching members of staff
- Opportunity to progress and secure a school based contract following 1 term on a supply basis

The school are therefore looking for a Computer Science teacher who is a subject specialist, excellent classroom practitioner and puts the students’ learning at the centre of all their teaching. The Computing suite is made up of 3 different fully furnished classrooms with whiteboards, smart boards and a full set of computers.
The school is situated in the south Manchester area of Trafford, easily accessible via the M60 ring road. For those Computing teachers on public transport, the school has excellent transport links with the Metrolink tram being nearby as well as many regular buses running from the city centre of Manchester. The school also has a large on site car park for the use of all teachers.
