Classroom assistant in primary school

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to join our team of caring and compassionate Teaching Assistants.

Our Teaching Assistants are committed in providing the very best quality of support and guidance to children and young people to enable them to reach their full potential in school.

We are looking for support workers that;

• Have a genuine passion for working with children and young people and enjoy working within a motivated team.
• Have supported individuals or students with SEN within either a school, college or residential SEN setting.

• Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) including pupils with Autism and Asperger's

• Cognition and learning needs covering a wide range of needs, including moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), where children are likely to need support in all areas of the curriculum and associated difficulties with mobility and communication, through to profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), where children are likely to have severe and complex learning difficulties as well as a physical disability or sensory impairment.
• Have supported students/individuals pupils in small groups or on a one to one basis.
• Have the ability to work with initiative, resourcefulness and passion in order to support.

Have relevant (SEN) experience but is not necessary, including autism and complex needs in a similar organisation and/or relevant qualifications although this is also not essential.

Ideally, you will have some SEN experience, however, we will consider applicants who have minimal experience but have a can do attitude and a willingness to learn. For those you possess the drive and motivation, we will support you to develop your qualifications, skills and knowledge, and for some, a rewarding career working with Children and Young people with SEN.
