Chemistry teacher required in Darlington after Easter

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Chemistry teacher to work in a large secondary school located in Darlington. The successful candidate will be an innovative, enthusiastic and passionate teacher who can work full time starting in April. You will be required to teach Chemistry to Key stage 3 and Key stage 4. The schools science department is dynamic, creative and supportive with its main focus being inspiring and helping students to reach their maximum potential

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to plan creative and engaging lessons for KS3 and KS4 students
  • Have experience within a similar role
  • NQT welcome

Brief description of the role:

  • Evaluate and grade students class work, laboratory performance, assignments and papers
  • Ensure that all records of attendance, grades and other recorded are maintained and updates
  • Prepare classroom material such as assignments, homework, classwork and experiments
  • Establish excellent working relationships with groups and individuals to encourage pupils to get actively involved in their own learning
  • Daily rates from £120-£180
