Calling all Teachers & Tutors in Northamptonshire

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit experienced or qualified tutors in the Northamptonshire area to provide 1:1 tuition for children at risk of exclusion and/or with special educational needs.

We work closely with Northamptonshire County Council and provide tuition to children that are unable to attend mainstream education full time. Ideally, we would love to meet with tutors who have previously worked with children with additional needs, children with challenging behaviour, and Looked After Children. If you have experience working in inclusion then this role could be ideal for you.

Tuition usually takes place at a students home, and you will be expected to plan and prepare engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to each student you work with. You will also be required to monitor the child's progress until the placement has ended and the child secures a school place. It is essential that you are able to manage any behaviour in a calming way.

In return, Teaching Personnel offers you:

- Excellent rates of pay (£20-£25 per hour)
- Continual Professional Development Courses
- Your own dedicated Recruitment Consultant
- Constant tuition work available

With tuition, you are in charge of your own schedule and can take on as many or as few referrals as you can manage. The time and day at which you provide the tuition is almost always decided by the tutor so you are able to be completely flexible in the work you do.

For more information about how you can start providing tuition through Teaching Personnel then please contact Sam on 01604 521215 or email a copy of your CV

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
