Burnley Behavioural Unit requires TA

Job description

Teaching Personnel require a Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner Schools in the Burnley area. The School is smaller than average and caters for KS1/2 pupils with Behavioural Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, SEMH Difficulties and ODD. The School are hoping to appoint a full time member of staff for the new academic year and the role is likely to continue for the full academic year. The School are looking at candidates who come from a variety of backgrounds including; Education, Psychology, Youth Workers, Carers and those with first hand experience supporting family members with difficulties.

The School are looking for a hard working, passionate, committed and empathetic Teaching Assistant to support the needs of their pupils on a day to day basis in School. Pupils in this School can often display difficult, even violent behaviours and therefore candidates will ideally hold their Team Teach qualification, but this is not essential.

The School hours are roughly 8.40am - 3.15pm Monday - Friday and ideally candidates will be a car driver as the School isn't particularly accessible via public transport.

The successful candidate will benefit from pay rates of up to £10.50 per hour.
