Behaviour teaching assistant jobs in Walthamstow

Teaching personnel are seeking full time behaviour teaching assistants for a behaviour assessment centre in Walthamstow. The PRU is a new addition to an all age special school which caters for pupils with various specials needs from behavioural needs, autism across the spectrum and complex medical needs. This lovely school is part of a multi site academy of specialist SEN schools across East London with opportunities across all sites to develop a career in SEN. We are looking for committed TAs who posses the passion and confidence to support secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school due to consistent behavioural challenges.

Role: KS3- KS4 1:1 Behaviour Teaching assistant

  • Previous experience working in PRU or behaviour setting
  • Proven track record of raising attainment in young people with behavioural difficulties
  • Able to provide 1:1 support and group support
  • Ability to write concise evaluations of 1:1 sessions
  • Safeguarding training Level 1 as minimum
  • Committed to school term time, full time hours : Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm

Desired training: Team Teach or MAPA training

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
